Snow Removal Crews Push Through One of the Biggest Storms in Recent Years
Last week’s winter storm was one for the books.
Between 19 and 21 inches of snow fell across the Taunton–Stow area, and from the very first flakes on Sunday through final cleanup on Thursday, the D&D Mulch & Landscape snow-removal crews were out in full force.
With nearly two feet of accumulation across the region, every piece of equipment in our fleet was deployed and all crews were operating at maximum capacity to keep properties safe, accessible, and fully operational.
Full-Scale Response from Start to Finish
This storm stretched from Sunday into Monday, but the sheer volume of snowfall meant that full cleanup and snow-removal operations continued well into Thursday. It was one of the largest storms our area has seen in recent years, and our team rose to the challenge.
Throughout the storm and in the days following, our crews were managing multiple phases of snow response simultaneously:
Plow trucks worked continuously to keep access roads, drive lanes, and parking areas open
Loader operators stacked massive snow piles where space allowed
Nighttime hauling operations removed excess snow from sites where on-site storage wasn’t possible

While large-scale plowing and hauling were critical, the finer details were just as important.
Our shoveling crews ensured that:

Walkways and pedestrian routes were properly shoveled and treated
At the same time, our sanding and treatment trucks worked to keep all pavement surfaces safe, allowing customers and employees to walk confidently to and from their vehicles despite the icy conditions.
